Leviathan (Leviathan Trilogy)

Leviathan - Scott Westerfeld, Keith Thompson STEAMPUNK!!!... and thus concludes my review...lol, just kidding ;)So, i was talking steampunk in school and i got the blankest stares i've ever seen in my life.*sigh*So, yes, i understand that it's still an underground thing, but this book will definitely make people more aware of the amazing awesomeness that is steampunk.I devoured this book, like, i started it on the way up to Canton cause i was going on a college over-night stay but then had to put it down (yes... that was painful for me) and read half of it while the girl i was staying with finished her paper. Then completed it on the way back home. All righty then, that said, for one thing;Anyway, there were so many things that made this book freakin' amazing.First. I am a hu-u-u-u-u-uge fan of all of Scott Westerfeld's books. So, major plus right there.Second. Steampunk. Steampunksteampunksteampunksteampunk!!!!!!!!!!!!Third. Two absolutely AMAZING lead characters. Alek and Deryn. One a runaway noble and the other a girl soldier in hiding. Amazing characters both of them, well put together and totally amazing. I didn't find myself favouring one point of view over another like i do sometimes.Fourth. The concept. The Darwinist vs. Clankers concept is so freakin cool. I love it. I honestly can't say which side i'm on... i love them both
